Of course, over time, her mother's style evolved with conventional workplace trends: the daily look included a colorful but conservative blouse, slacks, and flats. Ariel recalls, "It was a simple outfit formula but she always made it her own, and I’ve always admired her style. Then…she retired and moved to Florida. "

If you’re tackling this project solo, we recommend setting aside a day or two so you can carefully sort through pieces. Have a few trash bags and clear lidded containers ready to set up your closet for success.
